Car Parking
Free parking, including disabled parking is available for all visitors and is situated just outside the visitor entrance.
Visitors with Disabilities
The visitor route is accessible by wheelchair with the exception of the first floor of the House and a limited number of wheelchairs are available for emergency use. There is separate parking for orange badge holders within the main car park. Carers accompanying visitors with disabilities are admitted free. Guide dogs are welcome and an audio tape is provided free of charge for blind and partially-sighted people.
Shopping
The Stable Block Gift Shop sells an exclusive and unique range of gifts specially designed for Althorp and personally approved by Earl Spencer.
Eating
The Stable Block Café offers a range of sandwiches, salads, snacks and cakes in addition to hot and cold drinks. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available as is a separate picnic area (please note that no picnics should be consumed by the lake).
Lavatories
Lavatory facilities are located near the stable block, including facilities for visitors with disabilities and a dedicated baby changing room. Please note there are no lavatories in the car park.
Where the money goes
Althorp pays profits from visitor activity, including the "Diana: A Celebration" exhibition at Althorp and overseas, to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, a registered charity (no.1064238). There is a minimum annual donation of £10,000. Since 1998, Althorp has generated over £1 million for the Fund.
Clothing
Visitors are advised to bring suitable shoes for walking and coats and umbrellas in case of bad weather.
Photography
In order to preserve the paintings and exhibits and for reasons of security and conservation, we regret that no indoor filming or photography is permitted.
Pets
Please do not bring pets as they will not be admitted to the Park. The car park also has no shade available, therefore please do not bring pets and leave them in your vehicles.
St. Mary's Church, Great Brington
St. Mary's Church in the picturesque village of Great Brington will be open from 2pm to 5pm each day.
There may be occasions when the Church is closed for weddings and funerals.
There is no parking available near the Church and visitors are asked to walk to the village along the designated path. It is not possible to drive to the village of Great Brington. There are no public lavatory facilities in the village.
